Some Factual Evidence for the Resurrection of Jesus

  1. Women were the first to see Jesus after He was raised (Matt. 28:1-10; Mark 16:1-11; Luke 24:1-10; John 20:1-18).
  2. Multiple people attest to seeing Jesus after He was raised (Matt. 28:11-15; Mark 16:1-8; Luke 24:1-12; John 20:11-18).
  3. The Resurrection of Jesus was the central preaching of the early church.
  4. The fact that Jesus’ tomb was empty is commonly accepted.
  5. Jesus appears to at least 12 groups or individuals after His death, burial, and resurrection (1 Cor. 15:1-7; Acts 9:3-6; and many other Scriptures).

The Resurrection of Jesus Christ is central to our hope and faith (1 Cor. 15).
